Winter Styled Wedding Shoot from Kansas

Winter Styled Wedding Shoot from Kansas. When one thinks of Kansas, typically farmland, flat grassy plains and a beautiful simple sense of Americana come to mind. But one stylist turned an abandoned warehouse into a French-inspired locale with an elegant and elaborate ambiance. The bride wore a one-of-a-kind gown from French designer, Farage`. The bodice features floral appliques and the voluminous skirt is full of multiple layers of tulle cut in dramatic fashion. Her hair was styled in a high-fashion braid and she accessorized with simple stud earrings. The groom sports a simple, but sophisticated black tuxedo with skinny black tie and subtle green boutonniere.

The ceremony space was set in front of an exposed stone wall. Moss and floral swags created a frame for the couple as they stood in front of rows of gold chivari chairs and an aisle lined with copious amounts of candlelight.

The bouquet, and many of the floral details in this shoot, possessed a unique flair. A collection of color with light pink roses, gold crespedia, red roses and white delphinium were nestled in a bed of ample greenery tied with a black ribbon.

One common element throughout the shoot was the use of metallic gold. The invitation, and additional paper details like place cards, featured gold designs.

The chairs at the reception table, charger plates, flatware and drinking glasses were also kissed with gold.

The table incorporated many natural elements, continuing the look of the ceremony space. Centerpieces included large round glass jars filled with moss and succulents and were surrounded by additional greenery.

Bright red roses made quite the splash on the table and on top of mirrored keepsake boxes at each place setting. Small white lovebirds, gold crespedia and antler place card holders rounded out the look.

The warehouse had many areas that were unfinished but beautiful. It gave the stylist the freedom for creative exploration. One poignant moment was when the bride was photographed with a 125-year-old baroque-style black lounge. The ornate appearance of the piece matched with an assortment of candles was simply stunning.
