The Big Fake Wedding Atlanta

Big Fake Wedding Atlanta. A Big Fake Wedding has made its way to Atlanta! This bridal show alternative featured a vow renewal for a real couple, dinner, dancing, and everything in between (including a surprise proposal!) to show brides and their loved ones the most gorgeous of wedding possibilities around. The event was hosted at the Atlanta History Center which, along with its other fine amenities, features a remarkable venue with lush gardens and an amazing indoor reception space. Vendors were encouraged to harness an “Oxford Exchange” inspiration to transport attendees from Atlanta’s Buckhead district all the way to London.

A team of florists truly out-did themselves for this event. A live moss ceremony backdrop created the perfect setting for the vow renewal of the bride and groom.

The bride’s bouquet featured black and white anemones, dahlias, roses, and much more for a wildly textured display. It was appropriately tied with a striking black and white striped ribbon.

The bride channeled stripes in her gown, too. She wore a strapless, striped ball gown with a ruffled voluminous skirt and beaded belt. She accessorized her hair with a simple leafy crown.

The invitation suite was almost too pretty to even open. Sealed with a wax stamp, the contents inside featured a lovely floral design and various envelopes for specific pieces.

Aside from black and white, deep and rich colors of plum, dark green, and more were also incorporated to create a truly opulent look.

Bridesmaids wore black and white lace dresses, while groomsmen wore black tuxedos and dark-colored bow ties. The groom accessorized his tuxedo with a plum and white leaf-patterned bow tie and dark green pocket square.

There are many amazing spots to take photos at the Atlanta History Center, particularly at the Swan House. The classically styled mansion features an amazing set of steps that overlook the grounds of one of Atlanta’s most recognized landmarks.

The reception space was created in the Grand Overlook, which helped to marry the event’s old world comfort and modern elegance. The classic white-washed walls served as the perfect canvas for such an affair. Tables, named for famous authors, were decorated with colorful florals and classic literature. Some tables featured sequined covers while others displayed their bare natural beauty.

Place settings included white dinner plates, white scalloped salad plates, ivory linen napkins, and menu cards featuring the same floral designs as the invitations.

The edible offerings at this Big Fake Wedding were truly tantalizing. Pastel-colored macaroons, figs, and blackberries were just as much décor as they were dessert!

A staff member’s fiancé got down on one knee right in the middle of the party and asked her to marry him. (She said “yes!”)

The bride and groom made their exit through an ingenious swag of string lights down the steps of the venue. They offered one last kiss before signing off as Mr. and Mrs. … again.
