Rustic Brooklyn Art Center North Carolina Wedding

Brooklyn Art Center North Carolina wedding. Wilmington, North Carolina, is an historic Southern city spilling over with interesting venues and nooks. Amanda and Rhys were married at the Brooklyn Arts Center and their day perfectly combined vintage and modern elements for quite the unique, head-turning experience. wilmington nc wedding wilmington nc wedding

The ceremony took place outside. Guests were seated in white chairs in front of an altar made with an artistic structure personalized with the couple's initials, blue hanging mason jars with flowers and greenery with white bows.

Bouquets for the day included sunflowers, baby's breath, white hydrangea, hypericum berries and pink roses. Bridesmaids all wore short dresses in unique styles that captured their personalities.

The bride shined in a beautiful gown with beading on the straps and neckline and a flowy silhouette. The central accessory to her look was a gorgeous flower crown adorning her curled blonde locks.

Most of the time it's usually the bridesmaids who wear various styles but in this case, the groom and groomsmen shared this unique trend, as well. Rhys wore a dark gray suit with stripes and a skinny black tie with a crespedia boutonniere. His groomsmen wore light blue button-down shirts. Two gentlemen wore linen vests and the rest of the group wore suspenders. Each guy in the group wore a different tie.

To the sounds of a cello, the bridal party began the processional. A petite flower girl helped build the excitement for the bride's reveal. The couple said I do during a sunlit afternoon in front of an intimate gathering of family and friends.

After the ceremony, the couple took some quirky and artistic photos before retreating inside for the reception. Their guest book table featured personalized signs and two tall baby's breath arrangements.

The reception area had a lot of open space, allowing guests to move freely.

Round reception tables were covered with pale pink linens and decorated with small collections of the same flowers used in the bride's bouquet.

Memorable childhood photos of the couple and chalkboard wine bottle table numbers rounded out the look.

Additional decor in the reception area included a vintage piano with cherished wedding photos of family members.

Instead of a towering cake, the couple chose a large assortment of delicious sweet treats with an accompanying single-tier cake for cutting. It featured blueberry garnish and adorable cartoon figurines of the bride, groom, and their pets.

Since the Groom's Cake is a Southern tradition, Rhys was blown away with a Carolina Panthers inspired cake. Two white fondant tiers featured the Panthers logo and personalized jerseys for the couple. An ingenious touch was that it looked as if the footballs were being passed back and forth. It was perfect!

Because the heart of Wilmington rests on the Cape Fear River, Rhys and Amanda didn't miss the chance to take photos on the famous Riverwalk.

With the sun shining and the waves lapping against the boardwalk, they held hands as they strolled Downtown.

There wasn't one central element in this wedding. The couple included many unique touches that expressed their relationship, their passions and their love for one another. It was a bright and beautiful day and the Brooklyn Art Center was the perfect venue for the Wilmington wedding of the ever-so vibrant Amanda and Rhys.
