Psalm 3:3 Devotional
Today’s Bible verse comes from Psalm 3:3. What stands out is that the Lord is our shield. Shield means to protect from danger or risk. When you look at all the possible ways you can be harmed in life, there’s confidence that in Christ we have his protection. Not only does he keep us from the danger we see, but he shields us from the unknown attacks we never see. All over the world christians are being attacked for their faith in Jesus Christ. In spite of all they face, many rest in the love of their Heavenly Father. The last part of this verse says, " The Lord is the lifter of your head. Lifter means to bring something upwards from the ground. So there’s no holding our heads down in defeat, with Christ we always defeat the enemy! Have confidence if you trust in the Lord and believe his word, he will be your shield. In Jesus name, amen.
3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
