Psalm 2:11 Devotional

Today’s bible devotion comes from Psalm 2:11. In today’s culture, we’re taught that being a servant is degrading. Servanthood can have a negative connotation, but in the kingdom of God, it’s different. Serving the Lord and others is one way we display that we are disciples of Jesus Christ. To fear something in the Bible sense isn’t to be afraid of it. Rather, the term' fear' in this verse is to reverence or respect at the highest level. When I think of the goodness of the Lord, my heart is filled with great joy. So as I serve the Lord, fear him and delight in obeying him, his word becomes my shield.
