Moscow Russia Winter Wedding

This intimate December wedding in Moscow embodies the true power of love. Elena is from Russia and Gerhard is from Norway. She doesn’t speak Norwegian or English and he doesn’t speak Russian; however, their commonality lies in the one universal language we can all communicate: love. For her wedding, Elena wore a V-neck A-line gown. To stay warm, she wrapped up in a short white fur coat.

Elena chose a pair of stylish white heels with zipper details as a fun accessory to walk down the aisle.

Her bright and beautiful bouquet featured black and white anemones, yellow roses, and assorted greenery. It was tied with light yellow and light purple ribbons.

The bride wore a small sprig of baby’s breath tucked in the back of her curls. For the ceremony, she added a traditional white veil.

They came together at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The view from across the Moscow River showed the enormity and size of the awe-inspiring structure.

Elena took a few solo shots on the cathedral steps before Gerhard joined her.

They strolled across the Patriarchal Bridge and admired the beautiful river below. Their elation was palpable through the lens.

Moscow is a bustling and lively city but for just one moment, everything around Elena and Gerhard paused. Their wedding day was exactly what they’d envisioned. No matter where you come from or what language you speak, all you’ve got to have is love.
