Carlouel Yacht and Beach Club FL Wedding. Meghan and Mike are a fun and down-to-earth couple who truly planned their wedding day exactly as the wanted, even nixing a few wedding traditions. Their sun-filled day at the Carlouel Yacht and Beach Club in Clearwater, Florida, was the epitome of comfortable, casual, and classy.
Meghan wore an intricate updo, complete with braids on the side and sweeping strands pinned at the nape of the neck. She wore her grandmother’s pearl earrings.
The details definitely added to the beauty of her lace V-neck empire-waist gown.
Meghan and Mike took photos before the ceremony underneath an orange tree. Grasping a lily bouquet, one could see Meghan’s bright blue fingernails and stunning engagement ring.
The couple saw each other for a first-look moment before the ceremony. How sweet and tender their expressions were as they soaked in their last few single minutes.
Mike looked calm and collected. He wore a light-colored suit with a white button-down shirt and chose to leave the ties for another day.
They strolled around the club and even found themselves on a dock overlooking the water. The bride kicked off her shoes and went barefoot for a little while.
Leaving a trail of white sand behind her, Meghan was escorted onto the beach for the ceremony. Under a brilliant blue sky, the two said “I do” in front of a close gathering of friends and family.
No attendants. No decorations. Just the couple and the minister was all that was needed.
They were pronounced husband and wife to a cheering crowd and made their way to the club for the party. Escort cards were displayed in a wooden box with a seashell-covered “W.” Inside were small bottles labeled with each guest’s name.
The quaint reception space boasted the charm of Florida. Tables were dressed with royal blue napkins and mismatched china for a colorful spin.
The three-tier cake was marvelously beachy. Buttercream was frosted and piped to resemble seaweed and bubbles. It was topped with a cute pair of bride and groom starfish.
Maybe it was a wedding gift, but Meghan and Mike enjoyed an absolutely amazing sunset. The soft rainbow of colors in the sky were mirrored on the low ripping waves. Meghan and Mike soaked the entire scene in as a newly married couple.
Because they kept the logistics and the formalities as simple as possible, each guest was able to wholeheartedly interact with and honor such a wonderful couple. Meghan and Mike’s marriage was celebrated with a sweet ceremony, a story-filled reception, and truly one-of-a-kind Florida sunset.
