Bluemont Virginia Styled Shoot
The Retreat at Cool Spring in Bluemont, Virginia, was recently the location of a styled shoot as part of the “For the Love of Film” workshop. And fittingly, the styled shoot embraced the inspiration springtime has to offer. The Historic Manor House and property was the perfect spot to bring in some colorful florals and classic details against its whitewashed and luminous ambiance. The bride gets ready in one of the many rooms. Its neutral walls and furnishings make the bright colors of her shoes and bouquet stand out. The first few shots show her nervous excitement just before she steps out in her gown. She tries on her vintage-inspired lace veil and examines all of her accessories. The inclusion of black and white photos are nothing but timeless.
The groom is dressed in a navy blue suit with a white button down shirt and brown belt. As he thumbs through a book, he looks contemplative moments before his bride comes down the stairs.
She ascends a stunning set of stairs bedecked in floral swags and candles. Barefoot, the bride floats down to the groom wearing a strapless sweetheart neckline gown with one shoulder sleeve.
The gentility and softness continues into the celebration with a marbled wedding cake. Light blue and white are combined for a whimsical and graceful dessert.
Because springtime is a season most enjoyed outside, the couple head outdoors and find themselves under a gigantic tree. With her blue, pink, and yellow bouquet in one hand, she cradles the groom’s face with the other.
With the golden hour light upon them, the bride and groom stroll the property to find an outdoor tablescape set in their honor.
With both an organic and clean appearance, wooden chairs accompany a white linen-covered table decorated with an elegant centerpiece, a blush runner, votive candles, and clean white place settings. They can admire the romantic glow from the Manor House glowing with as they enjoy their celebration and soak in the twilight.
All colors, textures, and styles combined, this springtime inspirational shoot promotes exactly what is most cherished about the season – cheerful colors, the arrival of warmer air, and the promise of a season of renewal.
