Jennifer and Alexi wed in historic Athens and the experience was nothing short of jaw-dropping. What more could a couple want than Poseidon’s Temple in the distance, a beautiful church ceremony and a reception at one of the most coveted restaurants in the city?
Jennifer’s bridal style was classic with a touch of vintage elegance. While she donned beaded peep-toe heels for her walk down the aisle, she chose a lace cap-sleeved dress with a beaded highlight on the waist.
Fresh greenery and white flowers were at the center of all of the floral arrangements, including the bride’s bouquet and the ceremony centerpieces.
The couple opted for a first look moment before the ceremony. Alexi looked classic and handsome in a traditional black tuxedo with a white bow tie. He joined hands with his bride and they shared a gentle kiss with the Athenian Riviera behind them.
Guests ascended on the Agia Marina Church for the traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony. And after officially becoming husband and wife, they left through a shower of rice grinning from ear to ear.
The focal point for their intimate reception featured a lace-covered cake table with three scrumptious and beautiful options.
The round reception table featured a gray linen, clear chargers and a small sprig of olive leaves. Hanging above the table was a unique chandelier made of olive leaves and suspended candles.
As the sun began to set, Jennifer and Alexi managed to sneak away for a few photos with the gorgeous Athenian landscape in the distance. The summer sky provided ample, unbeatable light that made their photos that much more captivating.
Jennifer and Alexi’s emotional and heartfelt wedding day was gorgeous from start to finish. From the ancient temple to the authentic infusion of Greek elements, their wedding day was a timeless, sacred experience.
